So I got up this morning and made the 3 1/2 hour trip up to Tupelo, MS to visit a museum. Absolutely amazing place.

I plan to post a gallery of what I saw there later because they have some great vehicles there. I was luck y, because had I not read an article a couple of days ago, I would have missed my opportunity to see this place.

That poster pretty much sums up why. March 31st is the last day for the museum. All 100 and some odd cars will be auctioned next month. It breaks my heart to see a car museum close, especially one with as nice of a collection as this. I’m glad I got to see it before it closed, but it makes me wonder if some of the cars there will be seen by the public again.

good to hear you got licky mate... im not sure what that will do to the value of those cars

Now I want to come visit! I’m just 2 hours away and thought I had done every daytrip/weekend vacation under the sun. Maybe it was just lack of marketing. But to be fair, Tupelo is sort of the middle of nowhere to try to support something that size. Sad.

If you haven’t you definitely should since y ou’ve only got a week. It's definitely middle of nowhere so I made a day trip out of it.

I’m going to post a gallery or 2 this week. The place is known for it having a Tucker 48 and a Duesenberg Model J. They have over 100 cars total. I took a lot of pictures so I am going to move them to my computer first before I try to upload it.
